  • Formed in 1989, the Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique has won international acclaim for its performances of repertoire from the 19th and early 20th centuries, from the works of Beethoven, Brahms, Schumann, Mendelssohn and Berlioz through to Stravinsky.

  • Major projects have included a Schumann symphonic cycle, along with a ground breaking cycle of Brahms’ symphonies set within the context of his choral works and music from the 16th and 17th centuries that inspired Brahms at the time. The ORR is also known around the world for its performances of operas by composers such as Weber, Verdi and Debussy, including the first ever complete staged performances in France of Berlioz’s ‘Les Troyens’.
