The Choir of King’s College, Cambridge and Stephen Cleobury are delighted to have won a Classical Elite Award for the best choral concert of 2011 in Shanghai. This concert was the choir’s first visit to Shanghai and was part of their successful tour to the Far East in July, which also included performances in Seoul and Beijing. Each year, Classical Elite Shanghai awards several prizes to the best artists and concerts in 15 different categories – this year more than 300 concerts and artists were nominated to receive these prizes.

The choir will travel to Dijon on January 14 for their first international tour of 2012. They will perform a mixed programme for choir and organ at L’Opèra de Dijon, including the commissioned carol Christmas Eve composed by Tansy Davies, for 'A Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols' 2011.
