Following his great success at the Ulster Bank Belfast Festival (BBC Northern Ireland) in October 2011, Eugene Ugorski returns to Belfast on 31 January 2012 to perform with the Ulster Orchestra. This concert will be broadcast live at 2pm by BBC Radio 3 as part of their programme ‘BBC Invitation Concerts, Russian Greats’. Ugorski will perform Prokofiev Violin Concerto No.2. Conducted by the orchestra’s Principal Conductor, JoAnn Falletta, the all-Russian programme will also include Glinka Kamarinskaya and Tchaikovsky Symphony No.5 in E minor Op.64.
