Rory Macdonald makes debut with BBC Symphony Orchestra

Rory Macdonald will make his debut with the BBC Symphony Orchestra on Sunday 4 March.
Macdonald will conduct the orchestra at the Barbican Centre in a Shakespeare-inspired programme that will include the UK premiere of Rufus Wainwright’s Five Shakespeare Sonnets. Macdonald will also perform John Adams Lollapalooza, Korngold Much Ado About Nothing Suite and Prokofiev Romeo and Juliet Suite.
The evening, which will also feature readings of the sonnets by Siân Phillips, is part of the BBC’s Music Nation Festival.
