Jacques Imbrailo continues his busy concert schedule this month. On 5 May, he sang the role of Jesus in Elgar’s The Apostles with the Hallé orchestra and Sir Mark Elder.
This performance earned excellent reviews, including a five-star write-up in The Guardian, which stated that "Jacques Imbrailo's wonderfully composed, quietly eloquent Jesus stood out ... If the recording comes close to capturing the sumptuous certainty of the live event, we'll be very lucky indeed." This concert will be repeated as part of the BBC Proms, on 10 August at the Royal Albert Hall.
Later this month, Jacques will travel to New York for three performances of Carmina Burana with the New York Philharmonic under Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos.
