Joshua Weilerstein makes his debut with the Swedish Chamber Orchestra with Ingrid Fliter the soloist

Joshua Weilerstein makes his debut with the Swedish Chamber Orchestra in May with Intermusica pianist Ingrid Fliter the soloist.

Fliter will play Chopin Piano Concerto No.2 and in the rest of the programme, Weilerstein will conduct Golijov Last Round and Mozart Symphony No.41 in the concert at Orebro Concert Hall on 10 May.

At the beginning of the month, Joshua Weilerstein returns to the Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra, first of all to conduct a mixed programme of Beethoven, Dvořák and Penderecki, and then to conduct the opening concert of the Malko Competition on Saturday 5 May. Joshua Weilerstein was the winner of the Malko Competition in 2009.

Elsewhere in May, Ingrid Fliter will play Beethoven Piano Concerto No.3 with the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie and Principal Conductor Karel Chichon, with concerts in Saarbrücken and Metz.
