On June 30, Dworzynski conducts the Auckland Philharmonia in Sibelius Symphony No.2 and Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No.1 in B flat minor, with soloist Sergio Tiempo making his debut with the orchestra.

This date is part of a wider tour for Tiempo during which he will make his debut with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra (on June 25), performing Liszt’s Piano Concerto No.1 in E flat major under the baton of Eivind Aadland at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre. The following day, Tiempo will give a recital at the Brisbane Conservatorium Theatre, with a programme including works by Liszt, Beethoven, Ginastera and Chopin. He will conclude his tour on July 1 with a recital at the Auckland War Memorial Museum.

Dworzynski’s second concert is with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra on July 8. Ingrid Fliter will be the soloist in the Schumann concerto with pieces by Liszt and Dvořák completing the programme. Fliter also performs with the West Australian and Sydney symphony orchestras, and plays recitals in Sydney, Perth and Adelaide, as part of her trip. Her concerto repertoire also includes Mozart Piano Concerto No.23 while for the recitals, she performs a mixed programme focusing on Beethoven and Chopin.
