Intermusica celebrates the start of the XIV International Tchaikovsky Competition on 14 June 2011.

Following the personal invitation of competition chairman Valery Gergiev to Intermusica to plan and manage the prize-winners' engagements worldwide (excluding the Americas and Russia) for a period of four years after the competition, Intermusica is delighted to announce substantial tours for all of the five Gold Medal Winners.

Engagements secured for the Gold Medal Winners include a gala concert with the London Symphony Orchestra at the Barbican Hall in London, and further performances at the Vienna Konzerthaus, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Salle Pleyel in Paris, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, Maggio Musicale in Florence, Festpielhaus Baden-Baden and Beethovenfest Bonn.

122 musicians from 29 countries will participate in the competition with the winners announced on 30 June.
