Colin Currie makes Grafenegg Festival debut with James MacMillan's Veni, Veni, Emmanuel

On 24 August, Colin Currie makes his debut at Austria’s Grafenegg Festival, performing James MacMillan’s percussion concerto Veni, Veni, Emmanuel with the Oslo Philharmonic and conductor Jukka-Pekka Saraste. James MacMillan joins the audience for this performance as Composer in Residence at this year’s Grafenegg Festival.
The following week, MacMillan’s concerto receives another performance by Currie, Saraste and the Oslo Philharmonic as part of the orchestra’s 2012/13 opening concert on 29 August.
