Sir Peter Maxwell Davies’s ninth symphony receives London premiere at BBC Proms

On 23 August, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and Vasily Petrenko perform the London premiere of Sir Peter Maxwell Davies’s Symphony No.9 at the Royal Albert Hall as part of this year’s BBC Proms.

This marks the Symphony’s second performance by the RLPO and Petrenko, following their critically acclaimed world premiere of the work on 9 June at Philharmonic Hall, Liverpool.
