On September 29 Jonathan Schiffman will conduct for the first time in Japan, at the Musashino Shimin in Tokyo. With the New Japan Philharmonic he presents an all-Beethoven programme, including the Overture to Egmont, Symphony No.7 in A major and Violin Concerto No.1 in D major. This concert series has been well-established as a platform for gifted young conductors to make their Japanese debuts, whose previous guests include Ilan Volkov, Kirill Karabits and Andres Orosco Estrada.
