Intermusica is delighted to tour Deutsche Radio Philharmonie with Principal Guest conductor Stanislaw Skrowaczewski to Japan in October (17 to 21).

The orchestra and Maestro Skrowaczewski will perform five concerts in four cities – Fukuoka, Ise, Tokyo and Osaka – during the week-long tour. There will be three programmes performed on the tour, which include Bruckner Symphonies 4 and 9, Mozart Symphony No.41 'Jupiter' and Schubert Symphony No.8 ‘Unfinished’.

Coincidentally, 2011 marks the anniversary of 150 years of German-Japanese friendship. The tour is Skrowaczewski’s first of three visits to Japan in the 2011/12 season and also coincides with the release of the biography Seeking the Infinite: The Musical Life of Stanisław Skrowaczewski written by Frederick Harris.
