The end of October marks Jonathan Biss’s return from his four month sabbatical. Biss opens with a concert at The Sage, Gateshead, with the Northern Sinfonia on Thursday 27 October, where he will perform Beethoven Piano Concerto No.1 with Thomas Zehetmair. He will then go straight to London, to join the London Philharmonic Orchestra and James Gaffigan for Mozart Piano Concerto No.17, K.453 at the Royal Festival Hall.

Biss will later take this concerto to Amsterdam for concerts with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and Robin Ticciati on November 10 and 11, after playing Piano Concerto No.9 ‘Jeunehomme’ with Sakari Oramo and the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra.
