Leonidas Kavakos plays the first recital of his Beethoven sonata cycle at Wigmore Hall

On October 26, Leonidas Kavakos plays the first recital of his Beethoven sonata cycle at Wigmore Hall. He is joined by the distinguished pianist, Emanuel Ax, and the duo will return to Wigmore Hall for recitals in February and April 2012. Kavakos and Ax will repeat the cycle in the Musikverein, Vienna, in the 2012/13 season.
Leonidas Kavakos, together with his regular partner, Enrico Pace, will also take the cycle to other cities in Europe during the course of 2012, including Milan, Florence, Athens and with individual Beethoven recitals in Madrid, Moscow and, last month, in Leipzig.
