Fresh from their success as winners of ‘Recording of the Year’ at the 2011 Gramophone Awards, the Pavel Haas Quartet return to the UK for the last two weeks of October for a series of concerts across the country.
The quartet will make two appearances at the Wigmore Hall, with an evening concert on October 25 performing Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich and Dvořák, and a coffee concert on October 30 where they will perform Haas and Beethoven.
The Pavel Haas will also continue their second season as Glasgow’s Concert Halls’ Artist in Residence, performing an all-Dvořák concert at Glasgow City Halls on October 23. This concert will be preceded by a discussion about the composer, featuring the quartet in conversation.
The quartet’s performances will also take them to the Barber Institute in Birmingham, the Lakeside Arts Centre at Nottingham University, Cavendish Hall in Bakewell and the Sussex Downs College in Lewes.
