Acclaimed Norwegian soprano Marita Sølberg signs to Intermusica

Intermusica is delighted to announce the signing of the acclaimed Norwegian soprano Marita Sølberg for general management.
Marita was the winner of the 2001 Queen Sonja International Music Competition. She is currently a Principal Artist at the Norwegian Opera, where she has most recently sung Michaëla Carmen and Contessa Le nozze di Figaro. Marita is also renowned for her interpretation of Solveig Peer Gynt and has performed this role internationally, including an appearance the Nobel Peace Prize Award Ceremony 2010. She also sings regularly with major orchestras such as Orchestre de Paris and Les Musiciens de Louvre and conductors Jean-Christophe Spinosi, Paul McCreesh and Robin Ticciati, under whom she made her Glyndebourne debut this year.
Highlights in 2011/12 season include Pamina and Mimi La Boheme at Norwegian National Opera, a European tour of St Matthew Passion with Marc Minkowski, and Britten Les Illuminations with Orquestra Nacional de Porto and Jérémie Rhorer.
