Roger Vignoles performs Poulenc’s Les Mamelles de Tiresias at Aldeburgh Festival
Published: 15 October 2012
Roger Vignoles performs in Aldeburgh Festival’s production of Les Mamelles de Tiresias this month – a recreation of Britten’s powerful arrangement (for twelve singers and two pianos), last performed by Britten, Poulenc and Pears in 1958. He will be joined by Malcolm Martineau and the young singers from the Britten-Pears Programme. The production will later be seen at Aix-en-Provence Festival in June 2013 and Brussels in January 2014.
Les Mamelles de Tiresias opens on October 18, with subsequent performances on October 19 & 21.
