Dame Felicity Palmer sings her signature role Klytemnestra in Elektra at the Teatro dell’opera de Roma on September 30, October 2, 4, 6 and 8 in a revival production by Nikolaus Lehnhoff and conducted by Fabio Luisi. Dame Felicity most recently sang this role with the London Symphony Orchestra under Valery Gergiev, and at the Metropolitan Opera under Fabio Luisi. Her extraordinary performances were hailed by major press and critics as “matchless” (The Times), "a tour de force” (The Observer), “sensational” (The Independent) and “a complete marriage of vocalism and histrionics” (Financial Times).
