Angela Hewitt has recently released the first disc in a complete cycle of the Mozart Concerti for Hyperion.
Described by the Ottawa Citizen as “one of Hewitt's greatest recorded achievements and in the top echelons of Mozart concerto recordings,” the disc features Mozart’s Piano Concertos Nos.6, 8 and 9 with the Orchestra Da Camera di Mantova. The album has received universal critical acclaim, with Norman Lebrecht suggesting that Hewitt is “on the threshold of an adventure of real importance”.
