The London Symphony Orchestra and Principal Conductor Valery Gergiev return to Paris for the second visit of their sixth season in residency at Salle Pleyel, during which they will perform two programmes. On Monday 28 November, the orchestra will perform Shostakovich’s tenth symphony and will also be joined by Hélène Grimaud to play Schumann's Piano Concerto. This concert marks Grimaud’s last performance in a month-long "Domaine-Privé" focus at Salle Pleyel.

On Tuesday 29 November, Gergiev and the orchestra will perform Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto with Anne-Sophie Mutter, as well as works by Liadov, Rihm and Shostakovich.

To complete its 2011/12 residency concerts, the orchestra looks forward to special projects with Pierre Boulez and Bernard Haitink, and will be joined by guest artists including Nikolaj Znaider and Maria-João Pires.
