Intermusica tours Joyce DiDonato in Drama Queens programme

Intermusica is delighted to be touring Joyce DiDonato in performances of the Drama Queens programme over the next two seasons. Joyce will be accompanied by Il Complesso Barocco (directed from the violin by Dmitry Sinkovsky) performing repertoire from the new recording, including ‘Da torbida procella’ from Berenice and ‘Piangerò la sorte mia’ from Giulio Cesare.

The tour will commence in November 2012, firstly visiting Germany and Austria, with five performances in Baden-Baden, Bremen, Berlin, Hannover and Vienna. Joyce and the group will then travel to the United States, where they will perform at the Folly Theater in Joyce’s hometown, Kansas City, followed by performances at Carnegie Hall and new concert hall, Green Music Center in Sonoma, California.

Joyce will continue to tour Drama Queens in February and March 2013 in Europe, including performances in Lisbon, Brussels, London, Paris, Barcelona and Madrid. There is a further European tour planned for November 2013.
