On December 16 and 17, the New York Philharmonic and Music Director Alan Gilbert welcome HK Gruber to perform as soloist in his iconic work for orchestra and chansonnier, Frankenstein!!.

Based on children’s rhymes by H.C. Artmann, the work has received numerous performances throughout the world since it was first performed in 1978 by Gruber and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic under Sir Simon Rattle.

Rattle conducts the work again on 20 and 21 January 2012 with Gruber and the Berliner Philharmoniker, in concerts at the Philharmonie in Berlin.
