Choir of King’s College, Cambridge celebrate Christmas in Cambridge, London and Amsterdam

The Choir of King’s College, Cambridge looks forward to their busy festive season with concert and television appearances in Cambridge, London and Amsterdam.
On December 14, the choir return to the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam, to perform a programme for choir and organ. They are then joined by the Aurora Orchestra and soloists for two performances of Mozart’s Requiem at Kings Place on December 19. This concert marks the culmination of Kings Place’s 2011 series ‘Mozart Unwrapped’ and is the third appearance in this series by the choir and Stephen Cleobury. On December 20, the choir will be joined by the Philharmonia Orchestra & Chorus, and soloists Anna Patalong and Gary Griffiths to perform their annual concert as part of the Raymond Gubbay Christmas Festival at the Royal Albert Hall.
As well as these concert appearances outside Cambridge, the choir and Stephen Cleobury will record the world-famous service, Nine Lessons & Carols, which will be broadcast live from King’s College Chapel on BBC Radio 4. The choir will also record Carols at King’s for BBC television which will be broadcast on BBC 2 on Christmas Eve.
