    Andrew Manze makes debut with WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln

    On 9 May, Andrew Manze makes his debut with the WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln. Manze conducts the orchestra at the Musikhochschule in Detmold, where the concert opens with Bach’s Suite No.3 in D major followed by Bach’s Keyboard Concerto No. 1 with soloist Igor Levit. The concert concludes with Schumann’s Symphony No. 2 in C major.

    The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra today announced Andrew Manze as one of its four Artists in Residence in the 2013/14 season.     Andrew Manze returns to the Hallé

    This month, Andrew Manze returns to the Hallé for two evening performances. On 25 April, Manze conducts the orchestra at the Bridgewater Hall with a programme featuring works by Britten, Beethoven and Sibelius. The following day, the orchestra will perform the same programme at St George’s Hall in Bradford, with the addition of Bruch’s Violin Concerto with Jennifer Pike.Click here for further information.

    Andrew Manze has been announced as the new Principal Conductor of the NDR Radio Philharmonic Orchestra in Hannover from the 2014/15 season. Manze, NDR Intendant Lutz Marmor and NDR Programmedirektor Hörfunk Joachim Knuth signed the contract this morning, 25 March, in Hamburg (pictured below).     Andrew Manze returns to Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra

    At the end of February, Andrew Manze returns to the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra for the second time this season, having previously visited in November with a programme including Lutosławski, Beethoven and Bartók.     Andrew Manze replaces Kurt Masur for Beethoven cycle at Royal Stockholm Philharmonic

    On 30 May, Andrew Manze will step in to replace Kurt Masur to conduct the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra as part of the orchestra’s flagship cycle of Beethoven symphonies. The orchestra will perform all the Beethoven symphonies within ten days, and will be conducted by Manze, Lorin Maazel and Christian Zacharias. Manze will conduct Symphonies Nos.6 and 7 at the Stockholm Konserthus.
