Midori performs three concerts with the Munich Philharmonic this month. Working with Zubin Mehta, Midori will play Brahms's Violin Concerto in D Major, Op.77. The concerts take place on 13, 14 and 16 February at the Philharmonie am Gasteig.

Midori will be performing Walton’s Violin Concerto at the BBC Proms on July 30 with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra under Andris Nelsons (Prom 21).
She will then continue her European tour to Germany with a recital at the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival with works by Mozart, Shostakovich, Schumann and Schubert.

Midori premieres a new work for violin and piano by Brett Dean in February. The piece, Berlin Music, was personally commissioned by Midori and is dedicated to her. Its world premiere will take place at the Stockholm Konserthuset during Midori’s recital there on 13 February. It will then be performed across Spain and at London’s Wigmore Hall. Further plans are being made for the work to be performed in the USA.
