Danail Rachev returned to the Philharmonia Orchestra in April, making his debut at London’s Royal Festival Hall and also Leicester’s De Montfort Hall. Rachev stepped in for conductor Juraj Valcuha, who was forced to withdraw from these concerts at a few days’ notice. Danail Rachev will be giving his debut with the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra in Tokyo this week. He will conduct Brahms Symphony No.2, Tchaikovsky Symphony No.4 and piano concertos by Chopin and Beethoven in two concerts.
Later in the month, Rachev will return to the UK for his debut with the Philharmonia Orchestra on February 22 and a return to the London Philharmonic on February 26.

Young American conductor Danail Rachev will make his debut with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra on 30 October, conducting a programme of works by Mozart, Dvorak and Tchaikovsky which also features soloist Shai Wosner. This will be the first of a number of UK engagements for Rachev this season. Two of Intermusica's 'Emerging Artists', Danail Rachev and Eugene Ugorski, made their debuts with the London Philharmonic Orchestra on Sunday 1 November. Rachev conducted a programme of Brahms Symphony No.4 and Mozart’s Overture to The Marriage of Figaro. Ugorski performed the concerto which launched his professional career, the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto.

Danail Rachev travels to Europe this month to conduct the Porto Symphony Orchestra. He will be joined by Andreas Haefliger in a performance of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No.5. In the USA Rachev will return to the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra conducting a programme of Haydn, Elgar and Schubert and will also conduct the Eugene Symphony Orchestra with Benedetto Lupo performing Grieg's Piano Concerto.

Conductor Danail Rachev has been announced as the new Music Director of the Eugene Symphony, Oregon. Replacing Giancarlo Guerrer, he will also follow in the footsteps of previous Music Directors Miguel Harth-Bedoya and Marin Alsop.
