The Hallé’s live recording of Elgar’s The Apostles featuring Intermusica's Jacques Imbrailo, has won the BBC Music Magazine’s Recording of the Year award. On 13 April, Jacques Imbrailo performs songs from Mahler’s Des Knaben Wunderhorn with mezzo-soprano Angelika Kirchschlager under the baton of Sir Mark Elder conducting The Hallé. Taking place at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester, the concert also features Janáček’s The Fiddler’s Child and Haydn’s Symphony No.100 Military. Click here for further information.

March sees baritone Jacques Imbrailo reprise the role of Tarquinius in Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia at the Teatro Goldoni in Florence conducted by Jonathan Webb, with performances taking place between 22 March and 7 April.The production will then be reprised in May after which Imbrailo remains in Italy to sing Aeneas in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas for Teatro dell'Opera di Roma.

Jacques Imbrailo will reprise the role of Simon in Judith Weir’s Miss Fortune this month at Covent Garden, in the UK premiere of the work.
The opera, based on the Sicilian folktale Misfortune, was first performed at the Bregenz Festival in 2011 with the same cast, which also features Emma Bell, conducted by Paul Daniel.
This exciting production is directed by Chen Shi-Zheng and opens on 12 March.

South African baritone Jacques Imbrailo will make his debut at Houston Grand Opera on Friday 3 February, singing the role of Tarquinius in Benjamin Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia.
