Stephen Barlow directs a production of Puccini’s beloved masterpiece Madama Butterfly for Mid Wales Opera this month, conducted by Nicholas Cleobury. The production opens on September 7. Later this year, he will direct Ambroise Thomas’s lesser-known work La Cour de Célimène, which will open the sixtieth Wexford Festival.
