    At the BBC Proms this summer bass-baritone Iain Paterson will sing the role of Wotan in a concert performance of Wagner's Das Rheingold.Conducted by Daniel Barenboim, the performance on 22 July will be part of the Berlin State Opera's production of the Ring Cycle.     On October 17, Iain Paterson, Ben Johnson, Matthew Best and Sarah Tynan will star in the revival of Rufus Norris’ production of Don Giovanni at the English National Opera.
