Intermusica has three of its artists in a brand new production of Britten’s much-loved opera A Midsummer Night’s Dream at English National Opera, directed by Christopher Alden (May 19 to June 30).

Canadian tenor Michael Colvin has returned to English National Opera to make his role debut as Peter Quint in Britten The Turn of the Screw. The production by David McVicar is be conducted by Sir Charles Mackerras and the opening night was on 22 October. The remaining performances are on 24, 30 October, 4, 7 & 9 November.

After his appearances as Bob Boles in the recent critically acclaimed Peter Grimes, Michael Colvin returns to the English National Opera to sing Goro in Anthony Minghella’s iconic Olivier Award-winning production of Madame Butterfly. ENO Music Director Edward Gardner conducts.

On 9 May, David Alden's new production of Britten's Peter Grimes opens at English National Opera. Four Intermusica singers will perform in the production: Felicity Palmer as Mrs Sedley; Matthew Best as Swallow; Leigh Melrose as Ned Keane; and Michael Colvin as Bob Boles. Michael Colvin will sing Haydn Harmoniemesse with the Northern Sinfonia in Gateshead on 7 February before joining the orchestra to tour Hong Kong for their annual Arts Festival singing Beethoven Symphony No.9.

Michael Colvin will sing Belmonte in Minnesota Opera's production of The Abduction from the Seraglio, in which Jennifer Casey Cabot will sing Konstanze. The opera opens on 1 November and will run until 9 November.
