Administrator, Tours & Projects Department
As a member of an extremely busy department touring internationally renowned orchestras and ensembles world-wide, your role includes but is not limited to:

- Administrating tours both in the UK and abroad.  This involves liaising with orchestras, artists and promoters and negotiating with flight/hotel/ground transport operators. 

- Producing tour schedules on Artifax/Agent programme (bespoke computer programme for artist & tour management) and keeping Artifax/Agent updated with details for future tours.

- Making complicated hotel and travel arrangements for large groups, arranging visas and work permits, working out rehearsal schedules and assisting in the issuing of contracts.

- Negotiate financial deals involving travel, hotels etc. and on occasions 'extras' such as radio broadcasts, often within tight budgets, and to plan and finalise project budgets through to completion.

- Making financial arrangements for large groups, keeping detailed budgets, applying for UK withholding tax and international tax exemptions as required, issuing invoices, arranging payments.

- Sending out publicity information to promoters as required.  Working with the Marketing Department to paste up tour reviews and keeping up to date press information as necessary. 

- Accompanying orchestras and ensembles on tour to oversee the smooth running of all arrangements.  You will need to act with initiative and tact, representing the company in a variety of situations, be able to think on your feet, and cope well under stress.

- Attending concerts in both the UK and internationally whilst representing Intermusica.

- Working closely with all members of the Tours & Projects department but reporting to your line manager.  As part of the team dealing with administrative matters including filing, copying, archiving, compiling website & newsletter texts etc.  There will be some PA work.

- You must be willing to work flexible hours as necessary and to travel throughout the UK and abroad.

This position requires a solid working knowledge of classical music, excellent organisational and negotiating skills, an eye for detail, and an ability to multitask to a high degree in an environment which is always busy and can be quite pressurised. 

Foreign languages are an advantage; English must be completely fluent (written and spoken).
Relevant experience is essential, as is familiarity with different computer packages. 

SALARY: £20,000+ depending on experience
BENEFITS: health care, long-term sickness insurance & life cover - after 6 months probationary period

Internship
An intern is required to support our Artist Management Department  to offer support and assistance for 3-month, full-time assignments throughout the year.  This provides an excellent background for those interested in careers supporting the production of classical music.  This is a non-salaried internship but a travel and subsistence allowance is paid.

General skills required: Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, have a passion for and knowledge of classical music, be self-motivated and open to ever-changing tasks, be willing to support and offer assistance to a wide spectrum of people.  Good administrative skills, good computer skills and good attitude a must.  Knowledge/competency in foreign languages is an advantage.
