International Chamber Music Season

Since its inception in 1990, the International Chamber Music Season has presented a season of chamber music of the highest quality in the Queen Elizabeth Hall at the South Bank Centre, London.

The series has gained a loyal following and increased its audiences who return each year to hear the world’s greatest chamber ensembles and rare collaborations of major artists.

The International Chamber Music Season is devised, co-ordinated and developed by Intermusica in association with the South Bank Centre. Artists and ensembles who have appeared in the series include the Alban Berg, Borodin, Chilingirian, Cleveland, Emerson, Guarneri, Hagen, Juilliard, Kronos, Lindsay, Quatour Mosaiques, and Tokyo Quartets; Zacharias-Zimmermann-Schiff, Dalberto-Sitkovestsky-Harrell, Pires-Dumay-Hoffman, Mustonen-Bell-Isserlis and Fontenay Trios; wind soloists from the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Berlin Philharmonic, Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, London Philharmonic and the London Winds; pianists Imogen Cooper, Barry Douglas, Andreas Haefliger, Stephen Hough, Stephen Kovacevich, Artur Pizarro, Howard Shelley, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Mitsuko Uchida, clarinettists Michael Collins and Richard Stoltzman, and many, many others.
