Bryan Register makes debut at La Monnaie as Lohengrin
Bryan Register makes his house debut at La Monnaie singing the title role in Wagner Lohengrin which opens on 20 April 2018. Conducted by Alain Altinoglu, the cast includes Meagan Miller and Thomas Jesatko, with Olivier Py directing.
Lohengrin is a role which Register has previously sung to great acclaim, with both Savonlinna Opera Festival and Hong Kong Arts Festival; press responses included “This Lohengrin is not just a brilliant tenor but also a great actor” (Satakunnan Kansa & Aamulehti).
An accomplished dramatic tenor, Register attracted praise from Kulturkompasset for his Enée Les Troyens at the Semperoper Dresden last autumn:

Looking ahead to the 2018/19 season, Register’s upcoming roles include Erik Der fliegende Holländer for Malmö Opera, Tristan Tristan und Isolde for La Monnaie and Berlioz La Damnation du Faust with Les Siècles.

Bryan Register makes debut at Semperoper Dresden as Enée in Les Troyens
Bryan Register makes his Semperoper Dresden debut this autumn, stepping in to sing the role of Énée in Berlioz Les Troyens from 3 Ocober 2017. Register is joined by a cast including Christoph Pohl and Jennifer Holloway. Lydia Steier's new production is conducted by John Fiore.
Register sung Énée at Oper Frankfurt last season to great critical acclaim:

Bryan Register returns to Grange Park Opera as Siegmund in Die Walküre
Bryan Register returns to Grange Park Opera on 29 June 2017 to sing the role of Siegmund in Wagner Die Walküre. Stephen Medcalf’s production is conducted by Stephen Barlow. Register performs alongside Claire Rutter as Sieglinde, Alan Ewing as Hunding and Thomas Hall as Wotan.

Bryan Register makes his role and house debut as Énée in Berlioz Les Troyens at Oper Frankfurt
Bryan Register makes his debut at Oper Frankfurt this month when he gives his first performances in the role of Énée in a new production of Berlioz Les Troyens from 19 February. Directed by Eva Maria Höckmayr and conducted by John Nelson, Les Troyens runs until 26 March.
Further highlights this season for Register include a return to Grange Park Opera for Siegmund Die Walküre. In future seasons Register will make his debut at La Monnaie.
Bryan Register makes Tokyo debut singing Tristan conducted by Jesús López Cobos
Bryan Register makes his Tokyo Nikikai Opera Theatre debut singing the title role in Wagner Tristan und Isolde on 10 September 2016. Register joins an all-Japanese cast for the performances, which are conducted by Jesús Lopez-Cobos.

Bryan Register debuts at Grange Park as Tristan with Martyn Brabbins
Bryan Register makes his Grange Park Opera debut singing the title role in two concert performances of Wagner Tristan und Isolde on 13 and 17 July 2016. Register joins Rachel Nicholls, Clive Bayley, Sara Fulgoni and Stephen Gadd for the performances, which are conducted by Intermusica's Martyn Brabbins.
Register made his role debut as Tristan for Theater Kiel in 2014 to great critical acclaim:

Bryan Register makes debut as Siegmund in Die Walküre at Theater Kiel
Bryan Register returns to the Theater Kiel on 12 March 2016 for his first performances as Siegmund in Die Walküre. Performances run until 25 June and are conducted by Georg Fritzch.
Following this, Register makes his Grange Park Opera debut in the title role of Tristan und Isolde alongside Anja Kampe.
Bryan Register sings Lohengrin with Savonlinna Opera Festival on tour to Hong Kong
American tenor Bryan Register reprises the title role in Wagner’s Lohengrin with Savonlinna Opera Festival in two performances at the Hong Kong Arts Festival on 21 and 23 March. He made his role debut in the summer of 2013 in this same production, conducted by Jari Hämäläinen and directed by Roman Hovenbitzer. The cast includes Tuija Knihtilä as Ortrud, Thomas Hall as Friedrich von Telramund and Amber Wagner as Elsa.
Bryan Register is also currently singing his first Tristan for Theater Kiel, in a production of Tristan und Isolde directed by Daniel Karasek and conducted by Georg Fritzsch. Further performances take place on 18 April, 24 May and 6 June.
Bryan Register makes role debut as Tristan for Theater Kiel’s Tristan und Isolde
Bryan Register sings his first Tristan for Theater Kiel’s production of Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde, opening on 25 January. The production is conducted by Georg Fritzsch and directed by Daniel Karasek, and marks another major Wagnerian debut for Register after singing Lohengrin for the first time at Savonlinna Opera Festival in July 2013.
Further performances of Theater Kiel’s Tristan und Isolde take place on 2 February, 1 March, 18 April, 24 May and 6 June.
In March, Register returns to the title role of Lohengrin at the Hong Kong Arts Festival in two performances on 21 and 23 March 2014 at the Grand Theatre, Hong Kong.
Bryan Register returns to English National Opera to sing Florestan in Fidelio
On 1 and 3 October, Bryan Register returns to English National Opera to sing to the role of Florestan in Calixto Bieito’s production of Beethoven’s Fidelio. A co-production between ENO and Bayerische Staatsoper, Fidelio will be conducted by Edward Gardner and features Emma Bell, Philip Horst, James Creswell and Intermusica's Sarah Tynan.
This follows on from Bryan’s house debut as Drum Major last season in the critically acclaimed production of Berg’s Wozzeck, directed by Carrie Cracknell. Bryan has also recently sung his first Lohengrin for Savonlinna Opera Festival and this season also sings his first Tristan for Opera Kiel.

Bryan Register sings the title role in Wagner’s Lohengrin at Savonlinna Opera Festival this summer. Opening on 8 July, this performance marks a role debut for Register. The production, conducted by Jari Hämäläinen and directed by Roman Hovenbitzer, features a cast including Kirsten Chambers as Elsa and Thomas Hall as the Count of Brabant. Further performances will be on 12, 19, 24 July.
After acclaim for his Drum Major in Berg's Wozzeck earlier this year, Register returns to English National Opera this autumn to sing Florestan Fidelio on 1 and 3 October, and next season sings his first Tristan for Theater Kiel.
